Groups

The groups in Harrogate U3A are self financing so if members meet in homes there are probably no extra costs but when venues are hired the cost is met by the members of the group. Some groups require an additional membership subscription to cover these costs and new members are asked to check this out before joining a particular group.

Occasional outings to places of interest are organised by some groups and places may be available to other members and guests.

Current membership of Harrogate U3A is required in order to join a group. See Membership page for details.

Please note that details are subject to change and some groups may be full and have a waiting list so contact the leader before attending.

EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION

Harrogate u3a recommends you carry emergency contact information all the time on a card and/or your phone. If entered correctly in a mobile phone, any password/pin is not needed to access emergency contact details. You may wish to offer your information to the leaders of any groups of which you are a member. However, group leaders cannot make it a condition of joining a group that you do so.

NEW GROUPS

We are always keen to introduce new groups so any member who has a particular interest and feels they would like to share that interest with others should consider starting a group.

Financial help can be given for an initial start up and existing group leaders can also provide advice.
