This proposed new group aims to be a small informal group to listen to lesser-known instrumental, orchestral and choral music, without totally ignoring old favourites. Some works will be included based on a concept introduced by the composer Robert Simpson in 1959 on The Third Programme under the overall title “The Innocent Ear”, a series which ran for over 30 years.
