This group visits sites of cultural and historical interest, usually with professional guides.

We have recently made visits by coach to various historical locations including Bridlington Priory, Eden Camp, Kiplin Hall and Hull and we have also travelled by car or public transport to York Minster, the Bar Convent and Fulneck Moravian Settlement.

Visits planned for the next few months include the Land of Iron and Saltburn, Doncaster National Horse-racing College and a small-group tour of Harrogate theatre and also Bradford, City of Culture.

We travel by coach, public transport or, occasionally, private car. An e-mail goes out to members every few months detailing proposed visits.

Our small sub-committee has a long list of potential tours to be made. Members are encouraged to contribute ideas and, hopefully, practical assistance in the planning.
